The Green eye monster

It hides under my bed,
Swiftly pacing my room in infinite darkness,
It trembles at the sight of him,
Seeking comfort between the curtains of sadness,

It sneaks peeks at him and her,
Watching over them,
Eavesdropping on their most intimate conversation,

My green eyed monster possesses eyes as green as fields,
Eyes enlarged by curiosity and discomfort,

It yelps in pain,
Blocking out the sound of reality,
Sniffing in the stink of failure,

My green eyed monster strolls among my thoughts,
Tampering with my feelings,

Its mind overflowed with dreams and hopes,
Shattered by its little hands,

My green eyed monster eats away at me,
Reflecting my jealousy in its eyes.
